I have been asked, "What are the goals of your breeding program?" Ideally, the
puppies resulting from this litter would bring the following improvements to the German
Shepherd Dog:

Structure - the females resulting from this breeding would be the size of
Hunther; the males would be the size of Britta. The males' legs would be about
1/2 cm longer. The males' eyes would be as dark as Britta's eyes.  The males'
tails would be 1 cm longer. Other than the size disparity, in my opinion the
parents are good representatives of what two different phenotypes of good
    German Shepherds should look like.

Trainability - Hunther has a tendency to get excited to the point that he gets too
"wound up," and makes errors in his performance. Once a new exercise is
taught, he brings this intensity to his performance; however, on an imaginary
scale from 1 to 100, a motivation range of 95-98 would result in an easier
training experience while not compromising his actual trial performance.

Temperament - Both dogs are very sociable with people. Hunther's problems
with other dogs were almost certainly due to environmental factors, but the
tendency to get too excited may contribute to the problem. A little less activity
from the dogs' limbic nervous system would be ideal.

Both of these dogs are good examples of German Shepherd Dogs. Breeding is always
dependent on genetics, which is based on random meetings of sperm and eggs. We
are going to "breed the best to the best and hope for the best." We are confident that
the puppies will carry on the excellence that these two dogs represent.

What Our Breeding Program Will Accomplish
The last of our "B" litter puppies went home in July. Breeanka went to a fine
family in the Bay Area, who have fallen in love with her completely! They report
that Breeanka went from the Bay Area to Los Angeles and back, with no
housbreaking accidents along the way. After several missed opportunities by
other prospective owners, this family and their boys got an outstanding puppy.
I will always be grateful to them for the care they are showing for Breeanka.
"B" Litter Babies Are Home!
"Cuddles" brings it!
Akudulz vom Haus Leisa is now eleven months old. She is continuing her Schutzhund
training, and has learned to release the sleeve on command. She is clearheaded and
has a great grip.  With a name like "Cuddles" she may not get respect when reporting
in for protection, but she will sure get respect when she's reporting out!
